OIFN Disability Inclusion Programme Transforms Lives in Lagos

The Disability Inclusion and Training Programme, organised by the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation (OIFN) Nigeria, in collaboration with Through The Roof, continues to profoundly impact its participants on its second day. The event, held in Lagos, provided transformative sessions that challenged prejudice and biases surrounding people with disabilities.

The programme’s organisers successfully created a safe space for participants to engage in open and honest discussions, fostering empathy, love, and understanding. Through practical scenarios and real-life examples, attendees gained valuable insights into how to relate to and treat individuals living with disabilities.

A highlight of the day was the distribution of Audio Bible devices to participants who face sight challenges, enabling them to engage with the Bible in a new way. This thoughtful gesture was a testament to the programme’s commitment to inclusivity and empowerment.

Attendees were unanimous in their praise for the programme, describing the two days as “life-changing.” As they eagerly anticipated on the third and final day of the programme, it was clear that the Disability Inclusion and Training Programme has left an indelible mark on the lives of its participants.
